Alpine Body Shop

established in 1984

Don Stanger got into auto repair as a sophomore in high school. He worked at Reed Holmes' Body Shop in Marriott-Slaterville, UT for about four years. After that he worked for a couple of other local shops, and for a time, tested his entrepreneurial and body repair skills repairing mannequins for department stores. In 1984 Don and his wife Jeri purchased a tiny shop at our current location in Ogden. They focused on providing their customers with high-quality repairs and excellent customer service. That tiny building has expanded and changed beyond recognition, but our values are still the same.

At Alpine Body Shop, we aim to provide every customer with repairs that leave their vehicle in as good, or better shape, than it was before the accident. We use only high-quality materials, and always have. Our repairs still include a lifetime warranty, just as they have since 1984. Our values are a little old-school, but our methods are modern.

Our facility currently features three paint booths (one installed in 2018) and two frame racks. In the last two years we purchased a ProSpot i5 welder that replicates factory spot welds and a ProSpot Smart Mig welder capable of welding aluminum, silicon bronze, and stainless steel. In 2018 we acquired the latest in vehicle scanning technology that, along with intelligent software, can find and diagnose just about any problem your vehicle might have. These modern tools help our technicians put your vehicle safely back on the road, and ensure that our repairs go unnoticed.

Another important part of our story is our dedication to reduce our environmental impact. We use water-based base coat and primer, which greatly reduces solvents released into the air along the Wasatch Front. In 2013 we upgraded our shop with a large solar array that offsets our power usage by upwards of 80%. We will continue to look for ways to improve as new methods and opportunities become available.

We look forward to serving you,

Don, Jeri, and the Alpine Staff
